Oversized Tailoring

Over the last few seasons, something new on the catwalks has been attracting attention: tailoring silhouettes have become bigger and bigger. It’s the age of oversized tailoring!

Around the 80’s and 90’s, office fashion started looking more casual and laid-back and, as a result, suits became a few sizes larger!  Conversely, in the early 2000’s,  designers such as YSL’s Hedi Slimane and Dior’s Thom Browne presented the charm of slim-fitting suits.

Currently, with the comeback of a fashion  trend that flirts with the 80’s, oversized tailoring has delighted both female and male audiences. It plays with reconfigurations of shapes and uses a great deal of classic tailoring fabrics, such as pinstriped fabrics, Prince of Wales check, cool wool, linen, and any other material suitable for this proposal.  We can see that this trend is marking its territory with extra-long-sleeved T-shirts, extra-wide pants, and large-sized - or even huge-sized – tailoring.  Louis Vuitton has bet on the oversized trend to create very beautiful men’s outfits.  In women’s fashion, a lot of brands adopting this proposal end up opting to pair a normal-sized item with an oversized piece, like Acne Studios, for example.

White Boots

For this winter’s boots: white is the new black!

After being seen in abundance in street style during the latest fashion weeks in major capitals, white boots are super “in” this winter season. Military-style boots, knee-high and tall boots, thin-heeled boots, ankle boots, leather boots, and nylon boots. A wide variety of white boots have been seen on the feet of celebrities, models and influencers in the international fashion scene. 

Some inspirations were presented on the catwalks by major brands, such as Marni, which featured elaborate hotfix rhinestone details all over the item. In turn, Tibi showed a pair of all-white boots, including white heel and upper, whereas the shaft was given a crocodile texture, also in white color.

There are no rules or limits! White boots have shown that they are most welcome for every style this next season!
